Chernobyl nuclear plant: Russia and Ukraine at war in a region where humans have not been able to settle for 24,000 years.

Russia's Defense Ministry claims that radiation levels at the Chernobyl nuclear plant in Ukraine are "normal". It should be noted that this nuclear plant located in Ukraine was occupied by Russia on the first day of the invasion of Ukraine.

Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov's statement was broadcast on Russia's Russia 24 channel. Earlier, the Ukrainian parliament's telegram channel reported that radiation levels in the Chernobyl zone were rising above normal levels. On February 24, the first day of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops took control of the entire area where the Chernobyl nuclear plant is located.

Russia's Defense Ministry says the level of radiation at the nuclear plant is normal, while officials there are keeping a close eye on the situation. The presence of Russian and special Ukrainian personnel was considered necessary so that no nationalist or terrorist organization could take advantage of the current tense situation and cause any major damage.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said yesterday that Ukrainian forces were fighting Russian forces seeking to seize a nuclear power plant in Chernobyl.

This is the site of the 1986 nuclear disaster in Ukraine.

An accident caused the plant to emit radioactive radiation, which spread into the atmosphere in some parts of Europe, leading to an increase in thyroid cancer.

Following the incident, a 1,000-square-mile area around the plant was isolated and is now a no-go area.

The Ukrainian government says nuclear radiation in the abandoned area will prevent people from settling in the area for the next 24,000 years.

The Chernobyl nuclear power plant was later withdrawn and shut down in 2000. At 1:23 pm on April 26, 1986, engineers cut off the power supply to parts of reactor number four at the Chernobyl nuclear plant. This important phase of the experiment was part of an attempt to understand the possible conditions that could occur in the event of a complete power outage or blackout to the reactors.

But the engineers did not know that the reactor was already unstable. The power outage slowed down the turbines delivering cold water to the reactor. Less water caused more steam to build up and as a result the pressure inside the reactor began to increase. By the time the operators learned of the situation and tried to shut down the reactor, it was too late.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine: How difficult is it for Ukraine to defend itself?

Now that Russia has invaded Ukraine from three sides, how difficult will it be for Ukraine to defend itself? The Ukrainian army lags far behind Russia in terms of weapons and numbers. The military might of Ukraine and Russia cannot be compared to the amount of money invested in modernizing the military under President Putin.

"I think Ukraine is in a very difficult situation and its military leaders will have to make very difficult decisions," said Dr. Jack Watling of the Royal United Services Institute.

Western security officials estimate that Russia has 190,000 troops on the Ukrainian border, while the entire Ukrainian army is made up of 125,000 troops. Russian forces are entering Ukraine from many directions.

It will be difficult for Ukraine to defend its thousands of miles of border with Russia and Belarus. Defending the thousands of miles of border from Belarus in the north to Crimea in the south is not easy. If you consider the map of Ukraine the front of the crocodile, it will have to defend its border from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Former British Army Brigadier Ben Berry, affiliated with the International Institute for Strategic Studies, believes it will be difficult to defend. Moreover, Ukraine is under threat from many quarters and its forces are scattered everywhere.

Russia-Ukraine conflict: India in trouble after Putin's decision, what are the options?

Tensions are rising between Ukraine and Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the deployment of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine after recognizing two rebel-held territories as free territories. The two regions are Donetsk and Luhansk.

Putin has ordered Russian troops to enter the area. Western nations have reacted sharply to Putin's announcement, and there is a strong possibility that the United States and Europe could impose sanctions on Russia.

The situation created by the Ukraine crisis has also put India in a dilemma. Historically, India has sided with Russia on Ukraine, but things are different now than they were in 2014. Russia occupied the Ukrainian region of Crimea in March 2014, and India rarely spoke on the issue, but whenever it did, it spoke in Russia's favor.

At a Security Council meeting on the Ukraine crisis, India on Tuesday called on all parties to exercise restraint. TS Trimurti, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said India was monitoring developments in Ukraine.

He said India was watching the developments on Ukraine's eastern border and the situation arising out of Russia's declaration. He said the escalation of tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border was a matter of grave concern and that such incidents could affect security and safety in the region.

Russia, Ukraine tensions: "We are trying to find a diplomatic solution, but there will be no compromise on Russia's security"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is still trying to find a "diplomatic solution" with the West over the escalating tensions with Ukraine, but that there can be no compromise on the protection of Russian citizens. However, Ukraine's foreign minister has called on Western nations to immediately impose tougher sanctions on Russia over Russian aggression.

In a video message on the occasion of Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day, Vladimir Putin said he was always looking forward to "sincere talks." He also praised the Russian forces, saying they were fully prepared and believed they were there to defend the country's interests.

On the other hand, the United Kingdom and the United States announced various sanctions against Russia yesterday, after which the Ukrainian Foreign Minister in his tweet said to the Western countries that they are grateful to him and want more pressure on President Putin. In view of the deteriorating situation in Ukraine, Ukraine has asked its citizens living in Russia to leave immediately and has sent a message to its citizens not to go to Russia.

A statement issued by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that they would refrain from traveling to Russia and that Russia would not provide diplomatic assistance to Ukrainian citizens living there as a result of increasing aggression against Ukraine. Will be able It should be noted that there are millions of Ukrainian citizens living in Russia.

US President Joe Biden has announced trade sanctions against Russia, saying the United States and its allies stand with Ukraine. Speaking at the White House, he called Russia's move to send troops to rebel-held territory in eastern Ukraine a "violation of international law."

It may be recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had decided yesterday to recognize the rebel-held areas in eastern Ukraine as independent states. Russian-backed rebels in Donetsk and Luhansk have been fighting Ukrainian forces since 2014, calling the areas "independent states." Western powers fear that this will make it easier for Russian forces to enter eastern Ukraine.

To what extent can Russia-Ukraine tensions affect wheat imports to Pakistan?

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have led to a confrontation between the world powers, which has raised some concerns about the future of food security in Pakistan.

Russia and Ukraine are among the largest producers of wheat in the world.  Both account for about two-thirds of the world's total wheat trade.  Russia is the largest exporter of wheat in the world and Ukraine is the fourth largest.

Where Pakistan meets its wheat needs through its local production, it has to import wheat from abroad.

More than 80 per cent of Pakistan's wheat imports during the last financial year came from Russia and Ukraine.  Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have led to a rise in global oil and wheat prices.

Pakistan's wheat sector experts and experts are expressing concern over tensions between Ukraine and Russia and the possible supply of wheat to Pakistan as a result of a war. Some of its negative effects are already beginning to show.

He attributes this to rising wheat prices on the world market, which has been exacerbated by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and to wheat importing countries, which are now available on the world market at higher prices than ever before.

Wheat prices are currently at a ten-year high in the global market, with tensions between Russia and Ukraine adding to the trend in global commodity prices.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned Russia's actions in Ukraine, saying "Russia has violated international agreements by recognizing the disputed territories."

He further added that he condemned Russia's decision to send more troops to the region.  Russia should immediately withdraw its decision to send more troops.

Ukraine crisis: Russia announces further expansion of military exercises in Belarus, criticizes Western countries

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko agreed on Sunday to further expand the ongoing exercises between the two countries. The two countries' joint military exercises were supposed to end on Sunday, but their expansion has raised concerns that Russia has done so in the wake of the Ukraine crisis to ensure the deployment of its troops in Belarus.

Russia has said it plans to keep about 30,000 troops in Belarus in light of the deteriorating situation in eastern Ukraine, a statement issued by the two countries said. The move raises concerns that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine, as Belarus shares a long border with Ukraine.

Western nations have accused Russia of using Moscow as a pretext to send troops to invade Ukraine. Russia has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blankenship has said that Russia's expansion of military exercises shows that the world is on the brink of war. According to the BBC's Sarah Ranzford in Eastern Europe, the announcement by Belarussian Defense Minister is another clear indication that Russia does not want to back down from the dispute over Ukraine with the West.

Imran Khan's visit to Russia: What can Pakistan gain from this visit?

Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a two-day visit to Moscow on February 23 and 24 at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the first visit to Russia by a Pakistani leader in 23 years. Experts consider this visit very important in the current global and regional situation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to Moscow comes at a time when tensions between the West and Russia over Ukraine seem to be at an all-time high, and Russia's rebel-held areas in eastern Ukraine have been liberated on Monday night. This has been steadily rising since the announcement of the decision to recognize the states.

Accompanied by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the high-level delegation will also include members of the Cabinet. It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan was invited to the visit by Russia during a telephone conversation between the leaders of the two countries before the Ukraine conflict.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign Office, the two leaders will review bilateral relations and co-operate in energy projects during the visit. In addition, regional and international issues will be discussed, including Islamophobia and the situation in Afghanistan.

The Prime Minister will also visit a mosque in Moscow. Apparently, Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit will dominate the economy and trade agenda, but experts believe that the political message of this visit will resonate more. Pakistan has been in the US camp during and after the Cold War, and in that sense, Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit is being seen as a sign of change in this historic direction.

This is also an indication that Pakistan is now interested in multinational policy instead of being attached to a single country. In particular, it wants to expand ties with the major powers in the region in the hope that it can use its potential as a trade and energy corridor to improve its economy.

Houthi rebels claim to have foiled drone strike on Saudi airport, several injured

The Saudi-led coalition fighting Houthi rebels in Yemen said on Monday that its forces had destroyed a drone launched at King Abdullah Airport in the Saudi city of Jizan. According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia's state-run media, the Saudi Gazette, reported that 16 people were injured when the drone crashed into space.

It should be noted that the Yemeni capital Sanaa and the airport located there are under the control of Houthi rebels. The Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for the attack and vowed to continue it.

This is the second such attack on Saudi airports in the past two weeks that Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for. The Saudi-led military coalition invaded Yemen in 2015 after Yemen's Houthi rebels ousted an internationally recognized government in Yemen. The military says it is fighting a corrupt regime and foreign aggression.

Earlier, the United Arab Emirates was targeted by Houthi rebels in mid-January. One Pakistani and two Indian nationals were killed and six others were injured in a drone and ballistic missile attack on three oil tankers in the port area of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Immediately after the killings in the UAE, the Saudi-led military coalition, of which the UAE is a part, launched airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, which is controlled by Houthi rebels.

Ukraine Crisis: Putin Decided to Attack, Biden

US President Joe Biden says he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to invade Ukraine and that an attack could take place in the coming days.

Biden said he was speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media. Russia denies plotting to invade Ukraine. Western nations fear that Russia is trying to create a crisis in the breakaway regions of Ukraine in order to justify launching an offensive.

The United States estimates that between 169,000 and 190,000 Russian troops are stationed inside Ukraine and near the border, including Russian-backed fighters in the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine and Luhansk.

In a televised address to the White House, Biden said the United States had "reason to believe" that Russian forces were "planning and intending to invade Ukraine in the coming weeks, in the coming days."

"Now I am convinced that he has made a decision," he said, referring to President Putin. Earlier, the US president and other top officials said they could not comment on the attack on Ukraine. Biden says Russia "can still choose diplomacy" and that "it is not too late to reduce tensions and return to the negotiating table."

Earlier on Friday, another sign of escalating tensions came as leaders of the two separatist regions announced the evacuation of residents, saying Ukraine had stepped up shelling and was planning an attack.

Ukraine has repeatedly said it is not planning an attack, and Foreign Minister Dmitry Koliba dismissed it as "Russian misinformation reports." There are millions of people in the region and such an evacuation would be a huge step. No large-scale evacuation was reported in the coming days, but Russian state media reported that several buses carrying locals had left for Russia.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushkin, announced the withdrawal in a video filmed on Friday. However, an analysis of the BBC's metadata revealed that it was recorded two days ago.

According to the Kremlin, President Putin has ordered that refugee camps be set up near the border and that people from separatist areas be provided with "emergency assistance". Russia has been supporting an armed uprising in the eastern Donbass region of Ukraine since 2014. About 14,000 people have been killed in the fighting, including many civilians.

How will the war in Ukraine and Russia affect the Middle East?

If there is a war in Ukraine, it will have serious consequences, especially the Arab countries will be most affected by this armed conflict.

The crisis in Ukraine seems to have cooled off in recent days, but on Wednesday concerns were raised that Russia might invade its neighbor.

The head of the Western defense alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said on Wednesday that Russia's announcement of the withdrawal of troops from the Ukrainian border was just a dust-up in the eyes of the world.  He said that contrary to claims, Russia had sent another 7,000 troops to the Ukrainian border.

Russia had earlier this week signaled it was withdrawing some troops from the Ukrainian border.  Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Russia's desire for a diplomatic solution to the issue, but said Russia had so far given no practical indication of the withdrawal of troops from the Ukrainian border.

The armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia will not only affect Europe, but also the Middle East and North Africa.

Syria: Israel launches rocket attack on Syrian army base in Damascus

Syria: Israel launches rocket attack on Syrian army base in Damascus

According to Syrian state media Sanaa, Israel targeted a military base in the southern part of the Syrian capital, Damascus. This is the second Israeli attack this month. Earlier, on February 9, Israel targeted anti-aircraft batteries in Syria.

Sanaa quoted a military statement as saying that Israel had fired several missiles from the Golan Heights at the Mojo military base in the Zakia area. The military says there were no casualties in the attack, but that there were no casualties.

It should be noted that the civil war in Syria started in 2011 and since then Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes in which government officials have also been targeted. Israel's position is that it will not tolerate the presence of Iranian-backed forces in Syria and will do everything possible to eliminate them.

What options does Pakistan have to stop the alleged intervention from Afghanistan?

In August last year, when the Afghan Taliban recaptured the country for the first time since 2001, while there were majority opinions and fears that they would not return to their former style of governing, the Taliban in Pakistan in general The victory was welcomed.

Government ministers and military officials, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, described the move as "beneficial" for Pakistan, and in an international statement called the Taliban government a "victory for Pakistan."

Pakistan's position has been that for the past few years, Afghan territory has been used for extremist activities against Pakistan through 'Indian aid' and it was expected that these incidents would come to a complete halt after the arrival of the Taliban. Will go or they will decrease.

But contrary to these expectations, the number of attacks has increased and has intensified since the beginning of 2022, such as attacks on the Pak-Afghan border, incidents of demolition of border fences or rhetoric against Pakistan and aid trucks. There have been incidents like taking down a banner.

In addition, there have been several attacks in the last six months in Pakistan's tribal areas, as well as in Balochistan and other urban areas.

In this context, when a meeting of the UN Security Council was held on February 14, Pakistan once again asked the UN Security Council to respond to the "mastermind" of cross-border attacks on its territory.

Pakistan's position was that the 'mastermind' was not only supporting the attacks in Pakistan but also providing financial support.

It should be noted that in the same meeting, before Pakistan, India accused Pakistan of inciting violence in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Opposition leader in the Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani said, "We cannot decide on behalf of the province. A public hearing is required on pricing."

He said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has asked the Council of Common Interests (CSI) to ratify the bill and return it to the standing committee or else the bill would be defeated.  We are ready to cooperate on the bill but would like to amend it.

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz, while participating in the discussion, said that in the past, OGRA had suggested to the government to increase the price but the government was delaying the increase, in the past it was done for scoring political points.
