Syria: Israel launches rocket attack on Syrian army base in Damascus
According to Syrian state media Sanaa, Israel targeted a military base in the southern part of the Syrian capital, Damascus. This is the second Israeli attack this month. Earlier, on February 9, Israel targeted anti-aircraft batteries in Syria.
Sanaa quoted a military statement as saying that Israel had fired several missiles from the Golan Heights at the Mojo military base in the Zakia area. The military says there were no casualties in the attack, but that there were no casualties.
It should be noted that the civil war in Syria started in 2011 and since then Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes in which government officials have also been targeted. Israel's position is that it will not tolerate the presence of Iranian-backed forces in Syria and will do everything possible to eliminate them.
