Saying goodbye to Bollywood, Zaira Wasim has reacted to the ban on hijab in educational institutions in the Indian state of Karnataka.
Zaira Wasim had quit the showbiz industry for the sake of religion in July 2019 after gaining a prominent position in Bollywood with just three films and now she is in full swing.
Speaking on social media on the ban on hijab in educational institutions in Karnataka, Zaira Wasim said that to think that the issue of hijab is your own choice is the result of ignorance.
He said that this is often said out of satisfaction or ignorance, hijab is not a choice but an obligation in Islam. So when a woman wears hijab, she does her duty.
"As a woman, I wear the hijab with gratitude and humility and resist the whole system where women are prevented from performing their religious duties and are harassed," said Zaira Wasim, 21.
"Prejudice against Muslim women and the creation of systems where they have to choose between education and the hijab and leave one out is a complete injustice," she added.
For Muslim women, first trying to implement certain things for their agenda and then criticizing them, Zaira Wasim criticized.
"There is no other option that would encourage them to choose differently, if not bias from those who have confirmed that they were acting in support," he said. To build a foundation in the name of women's development that will make their lives worse, alas.
The state elections in Karnataka will be held next year while the next general elections in India will be held in May 2024.
Muslim families in Karnataka say the ban on the hijab is walling off the Muslim community, with some schools refusing to allow girls and women wearing the hijab to enter.
