General Bajwa, Pakistan's army chief, met with Belgium's top military and political leaders in Brussels on an official visit to Belgium this week. On this occasion, defense and military cooperation between Pakistan and Belgium was discussed.
Pakistan's Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with the Secretary General of the European External Action Services (EEAS) Stefano Sanino and the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee General Claudio Graziano in Brussels, Belgium yesterday.
Apart from issues of mutual interest, issues related to the overall security situation in Afghanistan, the current situation in Afghanistan and the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the European Union were also discussed.
General Bajwa, Chief of the Pakistan Army, assured the EU's top defense and military officials that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the EU. General Bajwa said that Islamabad was looking forward to further cooperation and closer ties in bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest in the future.
