The family of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has long been involved in buying property in Germany, which is still ongoing.
Nursultan Nazarbayev became president of Kazakhstan in 1990 after the independence of the former Soviet state, but resigned from the post in 1919. It was during his tenure that international human rights organizations accused his government of human rights abuses. However, he always denied the allegations.
It is now known that his family, which is still the most influential in Kazakhstan, bought luxury real estate in Germany.
Among them is Baden-Baden's famous and historic Zee Lakh Fortress luxury property. In the 19th century, it was the summer guesthouse of the eminent Soviet diplomat Mikhail Kryptovich. However, after him, managing this magnificent property became a difficult task as it cost a lot.
